Description
The most expensive feed is that which goes bad and has to be thrown away. The only thing more expensive than that is what we are forced to feed our animals even though we know it will do them no good. If you are lucky enough to bale your hay before the rains, you may be half a success; if you can put it under cover, you have won. In recent years, we have mostly been able to make quality forage from one mowing; the second either gets wet or short, and the third is uncertain.
