High, not prone to tipping.
Can be produced throughout the country.
Short duration fodder crop, late April to May in main crop, sensitive to frost.
Second crops from June onwards.
Utilized green-fed and dried into hay.
Moss yields 3-4 tonnes of hay per hectare.
Its seeds are yellow in colour.
Gestation period is 110-120 days.
Yields 1,5-2,5 t/ha seed and 20-25 t/ha green.
