Activity meter - AM 5000

The instrument is suitable to measure the total salt directly in the soil by means of a special stainless probe. In this way, many measurements can be carried out quickly and easily. However, it is important to know that the measurement result is influenced by the soil moisture content.
Why is it necessary to measure nutrient activity in the soil?
The activity of salt ions in the soil, not their quantity, determines chemical or physical reactions. This also applies to the uptake of nutrients by plants. It is therefore important to determine the activity of dissolved salts in the soil, not their quantity.
