Description
An ideal and accurate instrument for determining PAR and DLI values for different light sources. The instrument is also equipped with a data logger, making it ideal for experiments.

The PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) value allows easy determination of the amount of light available for photosynthesis. This makes it an ideal tool for monitoring and optimising greenhouses and artificial grow lights.

The instrument is easy to use: connect the probe to the main unit, which automatically detects the type of measurement. Then remove the protective cap of the PAR probe. Positioning is easy using the water scale on the probe.

7 different light sources can be selected in the instrument menu: sun, cloudy, full spectrum LED, fluorescent, halogen vapour lamp, sodium lamp, mercury vapour lamp.

Measurement ranges:
PPFD = 0 - 2500 µmol/m²/s (photosynthetic photon flux density)
Radiance (Watt/m²) = 0 - 543 W/m²
DLI (Daily Light Integral) = 0 - 216 mol/m²/day

Measured values are recorded manually (by pushing a button) or automatically (timed) using the data logger. These data can be subsequently copied to a computer using a USB cable. The cable is not included in the kit, it can be purchased separately from our product range.

PAR 5000 is a member of the COMBI 5000 family.
The instrument can be extended with additional probes for other types of measurements (e.g. pH, EC, AM, soil moisture, atmospheric pressure), so that up to 10 different types of measurements can be performed with the kit. It has automatic probe recognition and the built-in data logger can be used for all measurements.
