Description
The F-750 Food Scanner for fruit quality measurement uses Near Infrared Spectral Analysis (NIRS) to analyse the product quality of plant foods in a fast and non-destructive way.

This measurement method is already used in many industrial applications for material analysis and is also suitable for rapid development of different stages of the plant value chain.

In several experiments, e.g. tomatoes, grapes, mangoes and blueberries, a very good correlation between Brix (sugar content) and NIRS has been found.

Correlations with other quality parameters (e.g. dry matter content, acidity, firmness) for predictive models need to be determined by tests.
