Description
Climavi City provides an efficient solution for monitoring urban irrigation. The station is capable of measuring soil moisture and soil temperature at 3 different depths and the measured values can be easily compared with rainfall data. Thanks to the integrated solar panel, no mains connection is required for installation. The measured values can be monitored in an app or via a web interface.

Hot summers and long droughts are a major threat to urban trees, green spaces and parks. With CLIMAVI, irrigation can be optimised and planned to prevent drought damage. This is particularly important for water-intensive crops (e.g. newly planted saplings), but for all crops it can predict the need for irrigation.

Features:

CLIMAVI City is an IoT weather station whose main function is to measure soil moisture and soil temperature at 3 different depths. It sends the data directly to the free app via an energy-efficient wireless connection. Additional sensors can be connected via two SDI-12 connections. Thanks to the solar panel, the stations are energy independent. After scanning the QR code, the sensor is activated in the free app, where you can read the values and make settings.

Soil moisture and soil temperature sensor:

1 soil moisture probe per station is installed, which measures soil moisture and soil temperature at 3 different depths. The measuring depths are:

0 to -15 cm
between -15 and -30 cm
between -30 and -45 cm

The system measures with a resolution of ±2% VWC and ±0.5°C. Soil moisture measurement is based on a capacitive measurement principle at 1 MHz. Soil temperature is measured at three measurement depths using NTC semiconductor sensors. To increase the accuracy of the moisture measurement, it is possible to adjust the soil type. The instrument includes different calibration curves and preset values for several soil types.
