Features:
- Shredding and crushing of plant parts is the basic task of the stem crushers. It spreads the shredded parts over the working area and in some cases collects them. Stem residues and mulch can also be used as a nutrient supply.
- Horizontal shaft shredders are typically of the suspended or semi-suspended type. They can be connected to a tractor at three points. They are driven from a tractor TLT via a PTO shaft.
- The cutterbar can be driven by a belt drive or by a free-wheel cone drive.
- The cutterbar is fitted with a hammer hammer only. The design and weight of the hammers allow for different working conditions.
- The hammers can also be used for crushing thicker branches.
- The high rotational speed of the rotor inside the machine guarantees efficient processing and spreading of the material to be cut. A material spreader or spreading plate helps to remove the chippings from the machine.
- Forestry shredders are typically equipped with a wooden frame.
- Traction is ensured by skid pads, steel rollers and sometimes support wheels.
- This makes it easy to adjust the cutting plane.
