Our fixed, also known as installed, wind machines are recommended for farmers looking for an effective frost protection solution for crown heights above 5 metres. Our fixed wind machine is particularly beneficial for farmers in frost-prone areas, if you are looking for extreme tower height and want long-term protection for a particular plantation. A fixed wind turbine can protect 2-7 hectares depending on the height of the tower and the power of the motor. In general, a fixed wind turbine is the most reliable solution for orchards larger than 4-5 hectares. There are currently more than 100 000 fixed wind turbines in operation worldwide. A fixed wind machine installed on a reinforced concrete base is our most cost-effective wind machine. In case of a low-pressure frost, the machine can raise the temperature of the plantation by 1-4 degrees Celsius.

The tower is 10 metres high and the motor has a power of 30 kW. The powerful electric motor is located on top of the machine and drives the 4 metre long carbon reinforced composite propeller. The volume of air delivered is 700,000 cubic metres per hour. This is the highest ratio of power input to cubic metres of air delivered on the market. The electric motor can also be powered from the mains with a power requirement of 3x63 Amps. If this is not available in the area, a high-power diesel-fuelled, automatic-starting genset is supplied with the machine, which can be operated economically, with a fuel consumption of 10 litres per hour, making it the most economical on the market. During operation the head unit rotates in a circle, making one revolution every 6 minutes.

The installation of fixed wind turbines must be anchored on a previously prepared concrete base, for which the iron structure is provided. The warranty period is 2 years, during which time service maintenance is necessary and worthwhile 2 times a year.
