With a pleasant ride and a quality cut, you can maintain your lawn with great satisfaction with the Grillo FD220 R. The single-bladed, collector mower is positioned at the front and provides a perfect view of the cutting area. Thanks to the hydrostatic transmission and steering wheel, cutting is instantly easy! A very small turning radius and all controls accessible from the driver's seat make the Grillo FD220 R mower accessible to everyone. The Grillo FD220 R's single blade cutting table is mounted in a forward, forward position and hangs fully over the operator; the view while working is exceptional! It allows precise cutting even under bushes or low branches, so no hand tools are needed for finishing operations. The cutting width is 800 mm, the cutting height varies from a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 90 mm and can be adjusted with the 7-position lever next to the operator's seat.

The collection mower can be converted into a mulching or side-discharge mower with the help of kits that can be purchased separately.

The grass clippings are fed into a straight pipe which leads directly into the 200 litre basket. The special profile of the FD220 R blade allows optimal cutting and collection even in wet grass conditions.

The Grillo FD220 R is an extremely easy to handle and pleasant to drive mower! The steering wheel is easy to use and the rear steering shaft allows an inside turning radius of only 30 cm! The hydrostatic transmission is controlled by a single pedal, which can be steered forwards and backwards. The forward pedal is equipped with a "shock absorber" to prevent vibration. In tight spaces, when manoeuvring or in the presence of obstacles, the Grillo FD220 R will always be agile!

The floating scythe ensures a perfect cut even on uneven terrain. The tilting rear axle, the anti-slip drive wheels and the adjustment of the mower's ground pressure allow you to follow uneven ground and depressions with precision, cutting precisely without damaging the lawn.

The mower's ground pressure can be adjusted with a simple knob under the driver's seat; the device adjusts the weight distribution between the mower and the FD220 R's drive shaft for greater traction, even on slopes. The speed is infinitely variable between 0 and 9 km/h. Your garden maintenance will be fast and of high quality.

When the basket fills up, the blades automatically shut off and cutting is interrupted to avoid clogging. You can also choose the "acoustic signal" option (just unplug the electrical socket), which warns you when the basket is full.

Emptying the basket of the FD220 R is easy! Simply lift the handle next to the driver's seat while pushing the basket into the emptying area and the basket will open automatically when lifted and emptied completely.

The blade is operated by an electromagnetic clutch, the control is a push button and an indicator light shows operation.

The parking brake is a disc brake and is controlled by a handy lever. It allows the parking brake to be applied even when the engine is running and the parking brake cannot be applied.

Two petrol engines are available, the 14 hp Vanguard and the 12 hp Loncin LC1P92F. Both electric start engines have overhead valves and cast iron cylinders, using modern solutions that guarantee reliability, low emissions, reduced consumption and high performance. The exhaust silencer of the FD220 R is designed by Grillo "Grillo Super Silent" for high noise levels and minimum exhaust gas resistance.

Cleaning the blade at the end of the job will always be quick and accessible to everyone! The blade is equipped with a wash connection, and by connecting a water hose, the entire cutting system can be easily cleaned.

The Grillo FD220 R is equipped with a pedal to lift the scythe so you can overcome obstacles or climb on the pavement. Lifting the cutting unit is a simple operation. The raised scythe also provides easy access for maintenance of the detachable blade ends. With a few simple operations, the scythe can be removed from the machine and laid on its side. Gearbox and engine parts can be accessed by lifting the basket or the seat.

All parts, from the simplest to the most complex, are of high quality. The frame, the cutter, the head, everything is manufactured by Grillo in Italy, using the best materials and the most modern technologies to ensure high, constant and 100% controlled quality. Grillo machines are painted with two coats of electrostatic powder coating. Washing and preparation baths are applied first, followed by a first protective coat, which, when baked in the oven, provides the best base for the finishing application. A second coat of paint and further baking in the oven at 190°C gives the characteristic hardness and gloss. The FD220 R is meticulously assembled and tested by professionals. Final testing of the FD220 R includes testing of each machine with the motor running to check all functions. This is an additional and final guarantee of a high quality product.
