Description
The MD 22N is a hydrostatic mower that offers comfort and high cutting capacity. The 110 cm belly mower has a dual cutting function and is equipped with a "Quick Shift" lever that allows you to switch from mulching to rear discharge directly from the driving position. It is a mower designed for cutting on sloping terrain, suitable for use on professional and private lawns where an impeccable cut is required, such as sports fields. The low height from the ground makes it ideal for working under foliage. The MD 22N is equipped with a Briggs & Stratton Professional 7220 OHV 656 cc two-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 18 hp (22 hp gross).

The cutting table has 3 blades. The cutting height is adjustable between 2.5 and 10 cm, the continuous adjustment ("infinite" positions) guarantees a quality cut, the lever control is assisted by a gas spring for maximum comfort.

The cutting attachment is made entirely of steel and is not afraid of hitting stones. Large diameter blade shafts and cutting power transmission guarantee reliability even in the most difficult working conditions, for hours on end in absolute safety.

The cutting head belt tension is self-adjusting. The entire unit remains parallel to the ground at all times, so the quality of the cut is improved even after years of use!

The blades are switched on by an electric button near the steering wheel, which activates the electromagnetic clutch of the power output shaft.

The "Quick Shift" lever allows you to switch between cutting modes while sitting comfortably in the driver's seat, even while cutting, without interrupting your work. No need to change blades.

Rear discharge mowing is convenient when the grass is tall and suitable for those who don't mow regularly.

The mulching mower is ideal for regular mowing, it finely shreds the grass clippings, helping to release nutrients into the soil. In addition, mulching can be done after the first pass of the rear discharge cut for better results.

The gearbox consists of a hydrostatic shaft equipped with an oil cooling fan, a key feature for increasing the efficiency of the gearbox by reducing the operating temperature. The speed can be continuously varied between 0 and 10.5 km/h, allowing the precise choice of the forward speed.

The tilting front axle keeps the four wheels firmly fixed to the ground, even in the event of severe unevenness.

The differential lock is standard, pedal-controlled and indispensable on low-grip slopes or when the terrain is extremely uneven and the machine remains on three wheels.

The inside turning radius is only 60 cm.

The MD 22N is compact, with a roll-over frame, low centre of gravity and optimum weight distribution, providing maximum stability and safety for the operator. A seat positioned close to the ground, an internal combustion engine with a very low vertical axle, a belly plate positioned exactly between the 4 wheels and a battery mounted on the front axle make the machine exceptionally stable.

The MD 22N is equipped as standard with a mechanically sprung seat, the suspension can be adjusted to the operator's weight: even after hours of work, the ride is comfortable!

The legs rest on the platform at the best possible angle to provide maximum comfort and safety for the operator.

The driving controls are ergonomic, with the forward lever for precise speed selection. With the brake pedal, the forward lever automatically returns to zero position and the 4 wheels start braking.

The parking brake acts on the rear wheels.

All parts, from the simplest to the most complex, are of high quality. The frame, the cutting force distributor, the disc - everything is manufactured by Grillo in Italy, using the best materials and the most modern technologies, for high, constant and 100% controlled quality. Grillo machines are painted with two coats of electrostatic powder coating. Washing and preparation baths are applied first, followed by a first protective coat, which, when baked in the oven, provides the best base for the finishing application. A second coat of paint and a further baking step in the oven at 190°C gives the characteristic hardness and gloss. MD 22N is meticulously assembled and tested by professionals. Final testing of the MD 22N includes testing of each machine with the motor running to check all functions. This is an additional and final guarantee of a high quality product.
