The Dumper 406 is a compact and fast tracked wheelbarrow suitable for transporting all kinds of materials in a wide range of applications, such as agriculture, livestock, industry and horticulture.
The fully mechanical traction allows maximum utilisation of the engine power, while the steel crawler tracks and the available powerful engines guarantee a payload capacity of up to 400 kg on the body!
The box with steel floor and sides has a large platform and is equipped with hooks for securing the load. The loading platform can be pulled out; the side and front sides can be moved outwards and secured without the use of keys or other tools, thus increasing the load capacity. By moving the side walls, the loading platform retains its full support surface.
The internal dimensions of the enclosed container are 100x70 cm, height 40 cm. By moving the sides to the outermost position, the dimensions of the shelf increase to 118x122 cm.
The superstructure is equipped as standard with a manual forward tilting system, the tilting is accompanied by a gas spring, while reducing the effort required.
The 406 dump body is compact with a low centre of gravity. These features ensure easy progress in complete safety, especially on sloping terrain.
The track profile ensures traction in all terrain conditions. They provide adequate stability and safety on low-load, loose and steep sloping terrain. No terrain is too difficult for the 406 Dumper!
The Dumper 406's lever controls are ergonomic and intuitive. The levers are designed to minimize the force required for operation. The result is practical and easy to use controls.
The gearbox is mechanical, with oil-bath gears, 3 forward and 3 reverse gears, and a maximum speed of 3.5 km/h.
The Grillo-designed Dumper 406 steering system allows gradual modulation of steering by means of levers. The 406 dumper can make very tight turns with a single fixed crawler, and modulated radius turns and even very wide turns: simple! In the first phase of the movement of one of the two steering levers, the traction is removed from the track. As the movement continues, the drum brake gradually brakes itself off the track. This is the secret of the Dumper 406's extreme manoeuvrability!
The Dumper 406's tracks are supported by steel rollers mounted on bushings with grease nipples, and the track tension is regulated by springs, which are essential features to ensure high reliability and durability.
The forward inclination of the track makes it easier to negotiate stairs and obstacles.
The 406 dump truck is safe! The 406 dump truck can be stopped at any time by releasing the forward lever. The automatic brake of the Dumper 406 is activated immediately, ensuring instant stopping even under maximum load and slopes.
There are two petrol engines available, the Loncin G200FA and the Honda GX200. Both engines use modern solutions that guarantee reliability and make manual starting with automatic winding reliable and easy to use. Low consumption, low emissions and high performance.
Grillo machines are painted with two coats of electrostatic powder paint. Wash and preparation baths are applied first, followed by a first protective coat, which, together with the kiln firing, forms the best basis for the final application. A second coat of varnish and further baking in the oven at 190 °C gives the characteristic hardness and gloss.
All machines are carefully assembled and tested by qualified personnel. The final test is done with a running motor and a ballast to simulate the load! Further and final guarantee of a high quality product.
