Center-pivot irrigation
The centre-pivot system provides irrigation of a circular area, the size of which depends on the length of the circular wing pipe. This method can be used to irrigate several hectares. Pipelines of different lengths, also known as stem lines, rotate around a stationary, tower-like (hydrant) walkway to irrigate circular areas. The movement of the towers is hydraulically or electrically driven, while the movement of the hoses is fully automated. Several designs of centre-pivot irrigation equipment are known, but any one of them can supply water to large areas in a short time. The pipelines are made of aluminium, they are light and the price is not very high.
