Who is this manufacturer and what makes the product excellent?

TAFE - Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited is an Indian tractor manufacturing company established in 1960 in Chennai, India with an annual turnover of over INR 12,500 million. TAFE is one of the largest tractor manufacturers in the world and the second largest tractor manufacturer in India by volume, selling over 180,000 tractors annually. TAFE is also a major shareholder in the US-based AGCO Corporation, a $14.4 billion tractor and farm equipment manufacturer.

Widely recognised for its quality and low operating costs, TAFE has earned the trust of customers with its product range. A strong distribution network of more than 1,600 dealers effectively supports TAFE's four iconic tractor brands: Massey Ferguson, TAFE, Eicher Tractors and IMT. In 2018, TAFE acquired the Serbian tractor and agricultural machinery brand IMT - Industrija Mašina i Traktora. TAFE exports tractors to more than 80 countries, powering farms in Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Russia.

From its humble beginnings with a single tractor model in 1961, TAFE is now a recognised, high quality mass manufacturer with a wide range of products to meet the needs of every farmer and every agricultural machinery requirement. TAFE's R&D facilities are centres of excellence known for their innovative design and engineering expertise, recognised by the Ministry of Science and Industrial Research, Government of India. Its manufacturing technology is based on Japanese automotive manufacturing methods, with the help of Japanese experts, and is consistently demonstrated. Extensive research and testing ensures that TAFE's products meet stringent performance requirements.

TAFE's factory in Turkey manufactures a wide range of tractors, including the latest generation of Euro-Stage 5 tractors. In 2005, TAFE acquired Eicher's tractor, transmission and gearbox parts and engines business through its wholly owned subsidiary TAFE Motors and Tractors Limited (TMTL).
