Description of Detk 6500 siphon:
The tankers are suitable for the suction, transport and discharge of slurry, other non-actively corrosive liquids up to 15% dry matter, water and water equivalents.

Equipment:
Brake system
2-line air braking system with mechanical brake force regulator as standard, with optional automatic brake force regulator (ALB), which adjusts the brake force according to the saturation of the tank.

Chassis
The tanker is equipped with a rigid mounted through axle chassis. The distance between the drawbar and the undercarriage can be mechanically adjusted in three positions to adjust the drawbar load.

Tyre
The tyre sizes fitted as standard on tankers are given in the summary technical table above. Tankers fitted with so-called "low pressure tyres" have a maximum working pressure of 3 bar. The maximum width of the tyres of trailers of this design may exceed 2550 mm.

Drawbar
The trailer shall be steerable by means of a rigid drawbar.

The drawbar eye shall be bolted to the front plate welded to the end brackets of the triangular drawbar. Depending on the towing tractor, they may be of different designs:

ø50 mm, toroidal bore, swivel drawbar eye (1500-3000 kg vertical load), for lower towing device (standard version),
ø40 mm, cylindrical bore drawbar eye (max. vertical load 2000 kg) for upper towing device (option),
ø80 mm spherical drawbar eye (max. 4000 kg vertical load), for bottom drawbar (option).
The rear part of the welded drawbar is connected via pins to the fork nest at the front of the tank.

As standard, the trailing arm is supported by a welded support rod, the upper end of which is connected to brackets on the upper part of the tank and the lower end of which is connected by pins to lugs welded on the upper plane of the trailing arm. The desired drawbar eye height or the ideal tank angle can be adjusted by fitting the upper end of the support rod into one of the holes in the upper brackets.

As an option, for more demanding designs, springing and height adjustment is provided by a hydraulic working cylinder and hydraulic accumulators connected to the two spaces of the cylinder. The lower end of the dual action hydraulic working cylinder rests on a similar but shorter support rod, while the upper end rests on the upper brackets of the tank. The first step is to set the ideal coupling height of the drawbar eye so that the tilt of the tank is also correct. Then the branch connecting to the tractor is cut off. During operation, dynamic loads (e.g. braking, driving over an uneven road) cause a sudden increase in pressure in the supporting branch of the working cylinder, and hydraulic oil flows into the hydraulic accumulator against the pressure. The hydraulic cylinder is compressed, acting as a spring to damp the dynamic forces transmitted to the tractor's traction unit. Once the excess pressure has been removed, the tractor returns to rest. Movement in the opposite direction is damped by a hydraulic accumulator connected to the lower space of the working cylinder.

The cardan-drive compressor and its oil separator vessel are mounted on the traction triangle. The trailer, uncoupled from the tractor, is supported by a support leg or support wheel mounted on the drawbar. The lines for the air brake, electrical and hydraulic systems are fixed to the drawbar.

The air brake and hydraulic system piping is attached to the drawbar.

Tank and fittings
The welded tank is of self-supporting design, so no separate chassis is required. At the points of application of the forces - drawbar connection, running gear connection - welded auxiliary supports and cushion plates running along the tank shell distribute the concentrated load on the tank shell. The shell of the tank with stiffening rings is a welded shell of rolled belt plates, closed at both ends by welded shallow-domed vessel bottoms. For cleaning the tank, there is an opening in the rear tank bottom. The tank is fitted with breakwater(s) inside the tank. The spout is located on the lid of the opening hatch and is connected to the outside by a slide lock. The suction hose can be connected to the slide gate with a quick coupling. A floating ball shut-off valve is fitted at the front of the tank to prevent overfilling and to provide primary protection for the compressor. A drain pan with a float ball valve is installed in the suction line to provide secondary protection for the compressor. A mechanical filling indicator on the front tank bottom indicates the tank is full.

Charging and discharging compressor
Made by JUROP, the technical summary table shows the types that can be fitted.

Surface treatment
The tank body is painted inside and outside, the drawbar is galvanised.
