Description
The VSS AMAC FRU-3000 Front Onion Harvester is the latest development in onion harvesting technology. Both onion cutting and onion harvesting are carried out at the front of the tractor, with a working width of 3.2 metres. The machine uses a swing-blade rotor to cut the onion stalk and then transfers it to the delivery conveyor. The onions are harvested by means of digging discs or digging shafts. It allows high capacity harvesting, especially when a second harvesting machine (VRU) is used at the rear of the tractor to provide additional capacity.
