Product description (Varda)

Stems dark green, 130-150 cm tall, less prone to toppling. The calasain does not show any windowiness, weighing 30-35 g per thousand grains. Resistance to mildew and brown rust is medium. Winter hardiness and drought tolerance are excellent. It is suitable for the poorest sandy soils and grows well under low input and extensive conditions. It is also well suited for organic farming. Its flour is of good quality for the baking industry.

Yield: 2,5-5,0 t/ha.
