KWS SERAFINO (Autumn rye hybrid)

Outstanding productivity on drier, loose, sandy soils.
Very strong tillering ability, outstanding stress tolerance.
Sowing rate: (1,5-2 Units/Ha)
Characteristics:
- mid-early emergence, calving and maturation
- excellent stem firmness
- excellent stamina
- medium height (about 120-140 cm)
- high grain yield in dry conditions, even on loose, sandy soils
- ideal early green fodder
- recommended for cows to harvest as a straw crop (when the ears are still 'in the belly', typically in April)
- later harvesting reduces protein content but increases digestible fibre
- can be harvested at the wax-ripening stage, when the protein content is lower but the energy content is higher
