Fruit characteristics:
Fruit large, averaging 23-25 mm in diameter. The surface of the fruit is shiny, dark crimson red, black when overripe. Skin medium thick, tough. Flesh medium firm, juicy. Flavour less acidic than the usual sour cherry, pleasantly sweet.
Tree characteristics:
The tree is sturdy, conical, with a medium dense crown. The habit and foliage are similar to cherries. It bears most of its fruit on peduncles and medium-length canes and is therefore not prone to defoliation.
