It is a medium-late maturing, self-fertile, medium productive variety with a compact bush habit. Shrub height up to 1,5-2 m. The berries are medium-sized, ashy, bluish-black in colour and have a tart flavour.

It prefers acid soils but also thrives in slightly chalky soils. It has no significant pests or pathogens and does not require spraying.

Yields reach 7-7,5 tonnes per hectare. It can be harvested by machine.

It can be used for making jams, syrups and as a natural dye for dairy products. (Its deep purple colour is due to its high content of phenolic phytochemicals, especially anthocyanin. The total anthocyanin content reaches 1500 mg in 100 g of fresh fruit (highest among fruits)).
