NK Neoma is an imidazolinone-tolerant (Clearfield®) version of NK Brio, offering the same performance and agronomic properties, plus the potential of postemergent weed control (with imidazolinone active ingredient only). It is Hungary's market-leading hybrid and the backbone of the Hungarian sunflower production. It is an uncompromising hybrid, perfectly adapted to the domestic growing practice, and also provides a perfect basis for less weedy areas and for weed control difficulties due to the season. It is capable of record yields under optimum conditions, but will also perform to its maximum under extreme conditions. It may develop top branching as a stress response to severe environmental stress, but this has no direct effect on yield. Its particularly short growing season allows it to be used in late or extremely wet springs, and to be sown late. It can be grown safely and very competitively in all production regions of Hungary, regardless of technological intensity.
