Description
From the propagation of my garden, this giant bamboo is for sale, in a ground ball.

It has evergreen foliage, is winter hardy and quickly grows to a great height and stems. The stems are strong, suitable for construction and excellent for making musical instruments. The stems are green on 1-year-olds and yellowish on older stems, with an interesting blackish pattern. In the spring, fresh shoots emerging from the ground after cooking are not only edible, but are considered one of the most delicious.

Stems grow up to 10 metres tall and 8 cm in diameter. However, its height can be easily controlled by the amount of growing space and fertilisation. If its roots have less space and receive less nutrients, it will stay shorter. But you can only do this to a limited extent with water, because too little water leads to dehydration.

It is an efficient propagator by rhizomes (rootstocks), forming a beautiful bamboo plant in 3-5 years. Because it produces stems densely, it is also suitable for covering and space delimitation. Its spread is easily limited as it will not root deeper than 30 cm. It needs a strong plastic or metal plate dug into the ground or a concrete or brick barrier. You can also buy a specially made plastic plate, although it is quite expensive.

The price is for a plant with a 1 metre stalk and a soil ball, so a 2 metre high plant is 6,000 HUF. It can be planted all year round with proper care.

Personal pick-up is possible at Vámospércs-DEBRECEN-Tiszacsege-Gyöngyös. Or I can deliver it to your home at a reasonable price. Postage is not possible due to the size and the heavy weight of the ball of soil.
