From the beginning of August until the frosts. Large, conical berries are shiny black, firm, easy to transport.

Very strong growing, twigs branched, arching, spiny, purplish-purple. A prolific, late maturing variety (ripening from early August until frost), the first economically valuable thornless blackberry variety to be introduced into our country. The last part of the fruit does not always ripen to the required quality. Under our conditions, the canes may be damaged in colder winters.

They are excellent for deep-freezing and canning. Only fully ripe fruit is suitable for deep-freezing. The berries, which are already black but not fully ripe, turn red during deep-freezing.
