Description
Italian imported unseeded seed of the Moss variety, metal-locked.
Supplied in 25 kg bags.
Recommended seed rate: 25 kg/ha.

One of the most popular, inexpensive fodder crops, it has been the "saviour" of many livestock farms in recent years.
A fast, drought-tolerant fodder and cover crop, for making hay, haylage and grazing. Allowed for use in organic secondary crops.

WE RECOMMEND:
- For hay and haylage production, green feeding
- for cattle, goats, sheep and horses
- As an intercrop, to quickly remedy feed shortages
- To make use of land temporarily excluded from cultivation for some reason, e.g. weather

CULTIVATION ADVANTAGES:
- Fast-growing (harvestable 60-80 days after sowing), can be sown between two cereals in a favourable year with the right agro-technique

CULTIVATION TECHNOLOGY:
- Soil requirements: can be grown well on poor soils with poor water and nutrient balance. It is recommended for light, not too clayey soils with good cultural conditions. It does not like soils with extreme water and heat management. It can also be grown in acid soils. In areas with better water balance, it also performs well with a mixture of Alexandrian whey.
- Sowing time: immediately after harvest until the end of July. It is a very heat-loving crop, so sand oats are recommended for later sowing.
- Seed rate: 25 kg/ha.
- Sowing method: with a cereal drill, 1-2 cm deep. It is a fine-grained mixture and requires a well-tilled, well-compacted seedbed. It will respond to post-emergence rolling.
- Nutrient supply: composted straw manure or 60 kg of active nitrogen is recommended.
- Plant protection: not required. Good weed suppression.
- Harvesting: moss can be mowed before the moss is bug-bitted.
