-High nutritional value, good digestibility and palatability
-Eco-friendly and cost-effective production
-No plant protection required
-Gives 2-4 mowings per year depending on the crop and use
-Yields 12-15 t/ha dry matter per year
Growing technology:
-Sowing time: possible in spring and autumn, depending on weather and soil conditions.
-Sowing rate: 25-30 kg/ha
-Preparation for sowing: seedbed, sown in a circular pattern, with no traces of shoe heels or tractor wheels.
-Depth of sowing: 1 cm. With new seed drills, be careful with the depth, as the high self-weight may cause the seed to be deeper than desired.
-Drilling method: if there is a disc coulter in front of the drill, be sure to lift it up before drilling.
-Driving the seed: newer seed drills have a compaction roller, so there is no need to roll after sowing. Rolling is prohibited in soils prone to potting! If it is necessary to roll the seed, always do so with the seed nailed down and use a ribbed roller instead of a smooth roller.
-Nutrient supply: 50-70 kg of active nitrogen. Do not exceed the recommended upper limit, as this may lead to the loss of white testicles. In the year of planting, the organic manure will be rewarded.
-Harvesting: avoid grazing within a year of planting to ensure that the plants are sufficiently strong and resistant to trampling.
