Description
The young leaves of the Wasabino Asian Lettuce organic seed are light green, rounded, with jagged edges.

The spicy, tangy taste is similar to horseradish, making any salad refreshing.

Older leaves are larger, stronger and best used in stir-fries.

It can withstand cold temperatures well. It also grows well in the cooler months. Can be harvested all winter in an unheated greenhouse. It grows quickly, the first leaves can be harvested after three weeks, and has a total growing time of 40-45 days.

An annual, moderately cold-tolerant, short-growing, non-heading cabbage with a mustard-like flavour.

It is rich in beta-carotene, folic acid and vitamin C, and has a notable calcium content.

When the sprouts reach a height of 10 cm, they should be pruned to 15-25 cm at the top.

Wasabino Asian lettuce can be harvested as early as 30 days after sprouting. Some harvesting takes place between 45 and 75 days, at which time the lettuce is full size and half-ripe.

Asian leafy vegetables can be grown up to three times in a row in small gardens in a year. They can be produced in a very short time, are a valuable food, and provide a fresh supply of vegetables in late spring and autumn, when the supply is at its poorest.
